5 women’s fall fashion trends from Old Navy
By Brittany Anas
We all have our own gauges for when it’s fall. Maybe it’s when pumpkin lattes roll out. Or when your fave pumpkin brew hits the taps. Start of football season? Or, if you’re traditional, it’s the Autumn Equinox — which was Sept. 22.
However you look at it, fall is here. And we are falling for fall fashion.
Old Navy — where you can get 3 percent Cash Back and earn $10 for every $25 you spend between now and Oct. 16 — has some key pieces that are right on trend and at an affordable price point. Want to save even more? The retailer is also having a 20 percent off sale online for a limited time.
Here are five oh-so-autumn trends that you can find at Old Navy.
- Flippy skirts: Last fall, peplum was all the rage. This year, flippy cuts are majorly in. They fit like a pencil skirt through the hips and waist and then have a feminine flounce near the hemline. Pair one with tights and a leather jacket for a look that’s “right now.” Find the women’s fit-and-flare ponte skirt at Old Navy in cobalt blue, charcoal and black. ($27)
- Polka dots: Fall 2013 is going to do the polka again. This autumn, you’ll find the dots are a little bit bigger than the ditsy ones dotting our clothes last year. We love this gray sweater dress with black polka dots over a pair of tights and with some ankle boots. Find it at Old Navy. ($43 and an online exclusive)
- Women’s textured animal flats: Smoking slippers + animal prints? Yes! These animal flats will give your toes a stylish (and much-needed) break from those sky-high heels you were rocking all summer long. They come in either a brown-and-black leopard print or gray-and-black. (On sale for $18).
- Cross Body Tassel bags: A collection of faux leather over the shoulder cross body bags could be mistaken as designer. The best part? They’re only $25 each and come in gorgeous fall colors — include a mustard, teal, and raspberry. Depend on them to pop a little color into a neutral outfit.
