3 ways your next vacation can raise money for breast cancer awareness
By Aimee Heckel
Your love of travel can contribute to a good cause.
Here are three different ways your travel purchases this month can support Breast Cancer Awareness Month:
1. Pretty in pink pillow
Cabeau is selling a special pink neck pillow, to keep your head from flopping all around while you’re flying. Five percent of the Pink Evolution Pillow sales will go toward the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Each pillow costs $34.99.
2. Think Macy’s
Macy’s is a strong supporter of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Many vendors will donate a percentage of sales this month to the foundation. Shop the Pink Shop online, where everything gives back to breast cancer awareness, treatment, diagnosis and education.
Here, you can find watches, ties, comfortable clothes and jackets to pack on your next trip. We love the North Face Denali Pink Ribbon fleece in black, $179, with a subtle pink ribbon on one cuff.
3. Travel pink
Arrive Chic is offering a special line of accessories called Travel Pink this month, which will donate 10 percent of the proceeds to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation. This travel line includes luggage, travel-size beauty tools, a hanging toiletry bag, jewelry cases, travel wallets and scarves. Even find a passport jacket to support the cause.
Our favorite pick: The Heys xCase carry-on, a hard, light-weight suitcase, $100. We love this, not only because it supports a good cause, but also because it’s inexpensive, simple, durable and claims to be quite possibly the lightest carry-on in the world.
