45 restaurants where veterans eat free on Veteran’s Day

More than 40 restaurants across the country are offering free food and treats to thank veterans for their service on Veteran’s Day. So even if you’re on a budget, you can round up your family and take the special veteran in your life out for a meal on Nov. 11. And no matter how busy you are, you can find freebies for all meals of the day.
Here are just a few of our favorite freebies, as well as other great ways to save big on Veteran’s Day. Just make sure you bring in your proof of service.
Pick up a free bagel and Schmear (or any other topping) at Einstein Bagels and Noah’s New York Bagels on Nov. 11. This deal is good for retired, inactive and even active military personnel.
Craving something sweeter? For the fifth year, Tim Hortons Cafe and Bakery is offering veterans free donuts to kick off Veteran’s Day. Come in uniform or bring a military ID.
Grab a free lunch at the Texas Roadhouse‘s special veteran’s menu, which includes a free 6-ounce sirloin steak with two sides, plus a drink. (For the sides, may we recommend steak fries and a cup of chili?)

Feeling more like a burger? Red Robin will serve up free Tavern Double Burgers and bottomless steak fries to veterans on Nov. 11. If you need further reason to support Red Robin, the restaurant is also participating in the Heinz Our Turn To Serve campaign, which raises money for the Wounded Warrior Project. Red Robin expects to donate $10,000 to the cause.
It’s not too early for gelato, right? Not if it’s mixed with a latte. Paciugo is offering veterans free Gelattes on Nov. 11. A Gelatte is the perfect blend between a hot latte steamed with gelato.
Enjoy dinner at the Olive Garden, where veterans get a free entree on Veteran’s Day.
Money saving tip: Throughout the entire month, current military personnel and their families get 10 percent off, in honor of Military Family Appreciation Month.
Finish up Nov. 11 with a free frozen yogurt from Menchie’s, where you can pick your own flavors and add your own toppings and sauces.
