Actress Jessica Alba shows off her fall favorites as Piperlime guest editor
By Brittany Anas
Jessica Alba has been on the silver screen and graces the cover of this month’s People Style Watch magazine. Now, the adorably fashionable actress will be dishing to us her favorite picks for fall — all looks that you can shop.
Piperlime has tapped Alba to become a guest editor this fall, joining other fashion-forward ladies like Rachel Zoe and Olivia Palermo. When you shop Piperlime through ShopAtHome.com, you’ll get 6 percent Cash Back on you and Jessica’s favorite pieces. (Psst … the store stocks lots of designer finds, so your Cash Back can add up quickly.)
Since the launch of Piperlime in 2006, the store has featured guest editors to provide customers with inspiration and lend style credibility. Alba is an actress, author, fashion icon and co-founder of The Honest Company. Her style can be defined as effortlessly chic — with a little bit of boho influence. She loves to play with color and we want to raid her scarf collection.
“I am excited to partner with Piperlime and select my picks for Fall,” Alba says in a news release. “I love the brands they carry and how they have edited the styles down to the best of the best with a mix of price points.”
OK, so we’re dying to know — if we were BFF’s with Alba, what could we borrow from her closet?
Here are some of Alba’s picks over at Piperlime.
Tolani infinity scarf, $86. Alba is the queen of scarves. We can totally picture this infinity wool scarf in earthy tones looped over a vegan leather jacket. But for a more versatile, laid pack and less expensive option, Alba has also picked out a solid gray infinity scarf made by Calvin Klein for $44 and a Michael Stars army green southwestern print scarf for $42.
7 for all Mankind Jeans, $225. The stylish mom of two picked out the Destroyed rue de lille pair of jeans from the line — with just the right amount of distressing and kept current with the cigarette cut (a little more roomy than “skinny jeans”).
Snake print dress, $89. Snake print is giving leopard print a run for its money this fall. We’re seeing lots of the print — on everything from shoes to blouses. This fun fit and flare dress is a great interpretation of the trend.
Notch neck A-line mini dress, $59. The loose, ethereal fitting dress comes in classic fall colors (burgundy, olive) as well as a feminine dusty purple and bright indigo.
Burgundy velvet Oxford, $70. We’v got to say … we’ve never quite seen a shoe like this and we’re in love. The menswear inspired Oxford gets a velvety finish in one of fall’s favorite colors. We’re all in.
