As such, Baskin-Robbins wants to make back-to-school season a little sweeter with a super sundae two-for-one that’s light on the pocketbook and heavy on the smiles.
Beginning on Wednesday, September 4, Baskin-Robbins is running a buy-one-get-one-free offer on “Build Your Own” two-scoop sundaes at participating locations nationwide.
“Guests can customize their two-scoop sundae with their favorite Baskin-Robbins ice cream flavors and toppings, including our delicious September Flavor of the Month, German Chocolate Cake.” Baskin-Robbins VP Dan Wheeler said in a company statement on Tuesday.
The offer is good every Wednesday through the end of the year and customers who build one two-scoop sundae will receive another two-scoop Sundae of equal or lesser value for free.
“The sundae classic includes two scoops of a guest’s favorite ice cream topped with caramel, hot fudge or strawberry topping and is finished with a dollop of whipped cream, nuts and a cherry,” Baskin-Robbins’ said in Tuesday’s statement.”
Baskin-Robbins says the offer is not valid on various menu items including three-scoop sundaes, Banana Splits, Brownie Sundaes, Banana Royales, soft-serve Parfaits and kids’’ sundaes.
Baskin-Robbins locations in the New York metro area will feature the two-for-one sundae offer every Tuesday instead of Wednesday.
Unfortunately for customers in Washington, Oregon, Montana and most in Idaho, local Baskin-Robbins will not be participating in the buy-one-get-one-free sundae offer.
Baskin-Robbins was founded in 1945 by two ice-cream enthusiasts whose “passion led to the creation of more than 1,000 ice cream flavors and a wide variety of delicious treats.”
In 2012, more than 13 million ice cream cakes were sold in Baskin-Robbins shops worldwide, according to the company, while the specialty shops had global franchisee-reported sales of approximately $1.9 billion.
