Where I’m based: Indiana
How long I’ve been blogging: I can’t believe it, but it will be two years in October!
Blog/business basics: Beauty By Arielle is a blog with an emphasis on makeup. It is your destination for tips and reviews to bring out the beauty in you. The blog was a finalist in Allure magazine’s Beauty Blogger of the Year contest and named a Top 50 Beauty Blog on Beauty High.
What do you enjoy most about blogging? The other fabulous bloggers you “meet.” The women in the beauty blogging community are extremely supportive and kindhearted. I also love all of the learning within blogs. I am constantly developing my skills as a photographer, writer and editor.
Other blogs I love: VanityRouge, the blogger, Angie, gives so much life to her product photos and her editing skills are superb. Plus, her reviews are right on point.
H&K Style Journey this mother/daughter fashion duo blogs about their daily looks. Their fashion is extremely relatable and accessible for us regular gals.
Emilynoel83 is the most down to earth YouTube beauty guru. Her videos are like talking to your best friend about makeup.
Guilty pleasure: Any and all things chocolate.
Last thing I bought: Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette
Fav stores: ULTA and Plato’s Closet
What’s the coolest outfit you’ve ever bought thrifting? I made a stop at Plato’s Closet and shopped their 50% off rack. When I went to checkout, they proceeded to tell me everything in my hands was actually marked down, again, to $1-$2 each. I scored a pair of Kenneth Cole pumps for a buck.
What’s your favorite beauty trend? To be honest, I’m never really up on trends. I’m for women choosing makeup that makes them feel confident and gorgeous all year round.
What beauty trick should every woman try? Highlighting and contouring. By doing so, you bring light and radiance to your face and slim any problem areas. Once you try it, you will never go back to flat makeup again.
We are dying to hear about your Parisian wedding, will you tell us? Absolutely! My husband and I had been planning a big traditional wedding when we realized it wasn’t us. We made the decision to elope abroad — in what better place than the city of love? It was a magical and beautiful experience. Plus, it was simple and intimate — just how we wanted. There were no frills. I did my own hair and makeup and he wore a simple suit. It was just two people declaring that they would spend their lives together. It was perfect.
