Bloomingdale’s launches capsule collections with 100 designers
Bloomingdale’s knows how to do a designer collection. The department store this fall has teamed with 100 (yes, our zero is in the right place) designers for an 1,000 exclusive pieces that you’ll only find at Bloomingdale’s.
“We embarked on a serious fashion quest with one unfailing goal: to get the best designers in the world (many of whom began their careers here, by the way) to create one-of-a-kind capsule collections just for us,” say those at Bloomingdale’s.
On the heels of New York Fashion Week and in the midst of Milan Fashion Week, you can find some of your runway faves like Alice + Olivia, Diane von Furstenberg, Elie Tahari, Narcisco Rodriguez, Ted Baker, Theory and dozens more in the capsule collections.
The capsule collections are easy-to-shop here and are broken down into women’s collections; men’s collections and accessories collections. You can also shop by designers or color scheme.

Here are a few of the stand-outs in the collection:
- Alex Bittar’s cool-girl jewelry collection for Bloomies mixes metals using classic gold, edgy gunmetal and lots of pave crystals. Our pick: The “Large Orbiting Two Tone Linked Necklace,” $325. The piece is inspired by Saturn’s orbiting rings. (We also love that a poodle is modeling the necklace).
- Diane von Furstenberg’s classic, iconic wrap dresses (now in their 40th year) are getting some modern touches — like romantic lace and a touch of gold — in the Bloomingdale’s collection. Our pick: The Amelia wrap dress, $448, which is detailed with a lace-lined skirt.
- The Dylan Gray line is a curated collection of luxe basics — embellished T-shirts; a color-blocked cashmere cardigan; soft V-neck T-shirts and a tweed navy-and-white jacket with frayed edges perfect for dressing up or down. Our pick: The “leather front pencil skirt,” $398, that you’ll definitely want to wear to your next concert.
- Aqua Glam’s capsule collection incorporates the metallic trend that is hot for fall with dresses, gowns and jackets that have a little shimmer to them. Our pick: Glam Rose Brocade Dress, $158, in a bold magenta featuring textured blooms and fit-and-flare fit.
