Boo-tiful finds: Halloween-inspired looks for the month of October
Halloween offers a little something for everyone. For the fashion-forward, there’s an excuse to play dress up. For the thrill-seekers, there’s haunted houses and classic horror flicks. Of course, if you don’t fit into either of those categories, well, there’s candy, right?
With Halloween just a month or so away, here are some “treats” for your wardrobe, jewelery drawer and makeup bags that will have you looking boo-tiful all October long.
- Monogram Manicure from Sephora. Is it just us, or are these monogram transfers a bit reminiscent of a Ouija board? Use the letters and symbols from the set to spell out whatever message you want on your nails. (Red Rum has a nice ring to it, yes?)
- China Glaze Apocalypse of Colors Halloween collection has nailed it with a polish that has flecks of gold and is called “Rest in Pieces” along with a Frankenstein-like green called “But of Corpse.” Find the collection at Ulta.
- Betsey Johnson has designed a gothic-glam set of drop earrings adorned with red gems, dancing skeletons, black bows and a dash of gold. They’re a little bit goth, and a whole lotta’ glam. Find them at Macy’s.
- Women’s graphic, long-sleeve T-shirts from Old Navy have been bitten by the Halloween spirit with expressions like “Femme Fatale” and “My boyfriend is a vampire,” along with a graphic black cat sketched on a white T-shirt. Or, dive into that new vampire novel in some Halloween-themed lounge pants, with either pumpkin or candy corn prints.
