It seems like celebrity new moms lose their baby weight before they even leave the delivery room. But Celebrity Baby Scoop is celebrating five star mamas who embraced their postpartum bodies.
Kate Winslet: The actress and mom of three, talking about baby weight after the birth of her 4-month-old baby, Bear, says nursing is “a great excuse to eat heaps.”
“I have to say, so much attention is placed on this thing of bouncing back after a baby,” she has said, according to the website. “I don’t advocate fast weight loss at all after a baby, because you are nursing, you can’t, you have to eat and you have to be well… throwing myself into some workout regimen is crazy.”
Reese Witherspoon: The actress and mother of three, gave birth to boy Tennessee in 2012, and three months later told the press, “I don’t know if I’m bouncing back. I’m slowly crawling back,” Celebrity Baby Scoop notes.
Drew Barrymore: Pregnant with her second baby, the actress said, after delivering Olive in 2012, that she wasn’t worrying about losing the baby weight. “I probably wasn’t totally in shape before I got pregnant, but I do think I’m back to where I was,” she said, according to the website.
Jessica Simpson: The Weight Watchers spokeswoman has said she has to leave everyone else’s weight loss expectations of her at the door, and consider her health. “I’m not a supermodel,” she has said, the website reports. “My body is not bouncing back like a supermodel. I’m just your everyday woman.”
Mariska Hargitay: With three kids, the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit actress says she’s happy with her post-baby body. “I love my curves because they scream, ‘I’m a mama!’,” she has said, Celebrity Baby Scoop reports. “Things are sagging a bit – I’m not going to lie. But am I going to be upset about the sag or am I going to look at my three gorgeous kids and my husband and count my lucky stars?”
