It’s officially nurses week. A time to say thanks to the amazing men and women who work tirelessly to help us all feel better.
Cinnabon is teaming up with The DAISY Foundation to celebrate nurses week with a freebie now through May 12. Nurses will receive a free classic roll or minibon roll for simply showing a valid health care ID badge. There is a limit of one free roll per nurse, per visit, and be sure to check if your nearest location is participating.
The DAISY (Diseases Attacking the Immune System) Foundation was established in 2001 by the family of J. Patrick Barnes, who died of complications from an auto-immune disease. Cinnabon’s ties with the foundation began when Barnes lost his appetite while in the hospital, only to regain it after his father gave him a Cinnabon classic roll. From then on, Barnes would only eat Cinnabon rolls and insisted on sharing them with his nurses.
A fitting compliment to those cinnamon rolls, could come from Dunkin’ Donuts if there’s one in your neighborhood. The donut shop is honoring nurses with a free 16-ounce Dunkin’ Dark Roast iced coffee between 4 and 10 p.m. through May 12.
A jolt of caffeine and a sugar rush? Sounds like enough to make it through any nurse’s shift.
