The folks over at ThinkGeek have some seriously smart gadgets to offer (plus, they offer as much as 3.5 percent Cash Back). There are a number of items on the website that can be paired with your smartphone for a great communication experience. Probably the most fun is a pair of Bluetooth Handset Gloves, which literally turn your hand into a phone. You know that gesture in which you put your hand up to your face, pinky near your mouth and thumb near your ear, to mime a phone? Now you can actually call people that way, and the gloves are a great way to stay warm without having to struggle to manipulate a phone. Grab them for $70.
If you’d rather go a little more old school, you might drop $20 on a CB Radio Handset, also at ThinkGeek. You can plug the handset into your phone and pretend you’re coordinating a convoy, or whatever it is you might want to do. The point is, it’s a fun change to those Bluetooth headsets that always make you look like you’re talking to yourself when you use them.
Finally, while you might have some fun talking into your hand or into your own CB handset, there are some great gadgets out there that can actually make your life a little safer. A hands-free car kit is a must for anyone who uses their phone often, as it’s much safer than trying to talk on your phone while driving (and in fact, in a lot of places, talking on your handset while driving is illegal).
Head over to Amazon and check out the IOGEAR Solar Bluetooth Hands-Free Car Kit. It’ll run you $30, but you’ll get a few bonus tech points for its solar power capabilities, as well as karma points for becoming a safer driver.
