The best deals on HDTVs
by Dan Kricke
There has been a lot of talk in the news lately about SuperHD, the next line of quality TVs. But like any new technology, these TVs are still a few years away from being a viable option for most consumers. With the deals available on existing high-definition TVs, there’s no reason to make the switch just yet.
The innovation of Samsung
Amazon has a number of excellent deals on Samsung HDTVs. Whether you’re in the market for something to take up your whole wall, like the 65-inch LED HDTV marked down from $2,649.99 to $1,797.99 or a slightly more reserved 46-inch with a price down to $1,9997.99 from its original listing at $2,659.99, there’s a great Samsung TV to fit in any room in your house.
If you’re after a Sharp HDTV, Sears is the place to be. They’re running sales on all of their Sharp brand HDTVs and include free delivery on everything over $599. That gives you plenty of room to get the HDTV you want and not have to spring for shipping. As a bonus, Sears currently offers a 7 percent cash back bonus (up from 3 percent) for a limited time.
Not everyone requires a 60-inch screen in every room, of course. For those who wish to furnish their homes with an HDTV that blends into the background a bit, Walmart has a number of smaller models, ranging in size from 19” to 32” at extremely low prices. Brands like Sceptre and Vizio can be had for under $200, and after you add in the 1.5 percent cash back that Walmart currently offers, you will have saved quite a bit of money on a smaller TV.
