How to decorate your school locker
For teenagers (and pre-teens) the only personal space they get in school is the rectangular cubbies that are their lockers. And, well, many times they even have a locker partner sharing that tiny space.
So, why not brighten up that gray locker with some accessories that will not only keep it organized (no more fossilized pieces of lunch discovered at the end of the school year) but also lend it a bit of style?
When you’re shopping for school supplies, here are some awesome locker accessories to add to the list that will make the school year much more fun.
Dry Erase board: Jot down study reminders, due dates and more on a dry erase blue-and-black cheetah Dry Erase board. Pockets will stash your pens, notepads and other school supplies. (Pottery Barn Teen, on sale for $15.50) Get it monogrammed with your initials for an extra $7. And for you girly girls who like to swipe on an extra layer of mascara or reapply your lipstick, we’re also loving his beauty board that has special pockets to hold your beauty essentials, including one with the message “hello beautiful”. (Pottery Barn Teen, on sale for $19.50)
Lighten up: For when you can’t find your history folder because your locker is a dark hole, a mini lamp will brighten things up. This mini pendant lamp has a magnet that will keep it stuck to your locker. (Pottery Barn Teen, $24.50). For something a little more eclectic, you can get a Blooming Locker String Lights in blue or pink for $19.50, also from Pottery Barn Teen.
Locker Skins: Give your locker a wallpaper job with removable locker skins. No worries, though. The stickers won’t damage any walls or locker surfaces. The zebra prints comes in the expected black and white or a bright pink. (Walmart, $15.99 + get 2 percent Cash Back through ShopAtHome.com)
