DIY Of The Week: Floral Mousepad
If you’re looking for a fun way to spruce up your work space or school desk at home, why not customize your own mousepad? In this tutorial from HGTV, they use a floral kraft paper but feel free to use any unique design you prefer! If you’re whole family is doing distance learning or working from home, why not make this a family activity and everyone can make their own personalized mouse pad!
Materials Needed:
square cork trivet heavyweight kraft paper in desired pattern quick-drying tacky glue double-sided tape scissors pencil or marker heavy, flat objects (books, magazines)Instructions:
1: Roll out kraft paper with the pattern side facing down on the table. 2: Place the cork trivet on top, and trace with a pencil or marker. 3: Cut out the traced square, creating nice, clean edges. 4: Add two to three pieces of double-sided tape in the middle of the non-patterned side of your square piece of paper. 5: Add a strip of glue along the borders. 6: Neatly place your cork trivet on top, then flip over. 7: Make sure the paper is properly aligned and make any final adjustments. 8: Place your heavy, flat objects below and on top of your mousepad and let dry overnight. This will ensure there are no air bubbles.
