Where to find conversational print T-shirts
Oh, hey, is that a raccoon disguising itself in the cute print of your T-shirt? Why yes it is.
This winter, sweaters were adorned with cutesy prints — lots of animals and inanimate objects. Now, they’re making their way on to spring-time T-shirts, like this aforementioned bright blue and yellow raccoon print T-shirt from Anthropologie. (Seriously, this is the first time we’ve ever swooned over a raccoon).
For you word nerds, we affectionately call these noun T-shirts because they’re adorned with people, places or things. Be prepared: These shirts are certainly stop-you-on-the-street conversation starters.
Here are our favorite noun shirts — and where you can find them.
Oui, oui we want this tee: The Paris post-card T-shirt from Gap is a snapshot of the Eiffel Tower, a cute lady on a bike with a dog and the expression “C’est La Vie!” There are also similar postcard T-shirts, but from Milan or London. Gap. $29.95.
Here & There Tee with a french bull dog silhouette: This T-shirt reminds us of Jay & Gloria’s lil’ doggy on “Modern Family.” Pair the black-and-white print with a pop of color — like mustard colored pants. This high crew neck also comes in a fox print. Heeey, foxy lady. Anthropologie. $48.
Scarf print T-shirt: Why wear a scarf when you can just wear a print of one? We love the polka-dot background mixed with the bold print on this boxy-fitted T-shirt. Online shoppers, this one is just for you as it’s an online exclusive. The Limited. $46.90.
