Free Junior Ice Cream Cone today at Carvel
Carvel is kicking off its summer-long celebration of 80 years in business in style today, May 1.
The ice cream shoppe with more than 400 locations across the country is serving free junior cones (or cups) from 3 to 8 p.m. No purchase is necessary and you can choose between vanilla, chocolate and Carvel’s new salted caramel soft serve flavors.
In addition to serving free ice cream cones, Carvel is doing another good deed today. And yes, that means we consider giving away ice cream cones a good deed.
That said, Carvel also is selling $2 coupon books with more than $20 in savings. Here’s the good deed part: 100 percent of the proceeds go to a $30,000 donation to the American Red Cross to support disaster relief. Over the past three years, Carvel has donated $80,000 to the American Red Cross.
“We hope everyone will come out on Free Cone Day and try one on us,” Carvel President Scott Colwell said in a release from the company. “I can’t think of a more appropriate way to kick-off our 80th anniversary celebration than giving our guests free, fresh ice cream and raising money for the American Red Cross.”
