Freebie Friday: National Coffee Day is coming!
Normally we’re all about TGIF around here, but we’ve got a legitimate reason for you to look past the weekend and forward to Monday (gasp!).
Sept. 29, is National Coffee Day. It’s fitting really, because there’s no other day that we need coffee to get us going more than Monday.
So, let us help you start next week on the right foot with free coffee from your favorite chains.
- McDonald’s: We had mentioned that the chain was serving up free small McCafe coffees during breakfast hours at participating locations in a previous post and Monday will be the final day of McDonald’s two-week long free coffee event. So, if you love McCafe, you technically have four more chances to cash in on the free brew.
- Dunkin’ Donuts and Krispy Kreme: Coffee and doughnuts are a match made in heaven, so naturally both doughnut shops would get in on the action of National Coffee Day. Head to Dunkin’ Donuts to score a free medium cup of its dark roast coffee, no purchase necessary. Meanwhile at Krispy Kreme you’ll receive a 12-ounce cup of joe for free Monday. Straight java not your thing? Krispy Kreme has you covered, too. Mocha, latte or iced coffee fans can indulge for just $1 at participating locations.
- Tim Hortons: Technically Tim Hortons deal isn’t free, but the chain is offering any size coffee in regular or dark roast for just a $1 now through Monday. Also, in select cities, Tim Hortons is hiding golden envelopes with $25 Tim Cards or cash to help customers celebrate National Coffee Day.
And finally, Caribou Coffee participated in National Coffee Day in 2013, giving away free small coffees, but has yet to announce plans for 2014. So if Caribou is your coffee house of choice, give your local barista a call and see if they’re in again this year.
