Tuesday is Earth Day.
Typically less is more on Earth Day, but we’ve rounded up some freebies that are good for the planet and for your wallet.
Disney Stores will swap you a Disneynature Bears (as in the movie that hit theatres over the weekend) reusable tote bag when you bring in five plastic bags for recycling. There is a limit of one tote bag per person, while supplies last.
Both Pottery Barn Kids and Anthropologie are hosting events for children to celebrate Earth Day. Throughout this week, Pottery Barn Kids will have an “eco-inspired treasure hunt” with a plantable bookmark as the prize at the end. Also, on various days this week, Anthropologie is hosting butterfly crafts for children, ages 5 to 8. To find out when your local Anthropologie is hosting the butterfly fun, click here. For those of us who aren’t kids anymore and are working to protect our skin from the harsh world out there, Origins has an Earth Day deal. The natural skin care stores are offering a free eco-friendly tote with a $65 purchase. And, even more rewarding, Origins will plant a tree as part of its ongoing program that aids in reforestation projects around the world. According to Origins’ website, the company already has planted more than 420,000 trees.
