These gadget retailers offer same-day delivery
Same day delivery. The very idea sounds like something from the distant future, when your package would be teleported right to your doorstep. But the future is now for many businesses, as a few now ensure same day service.
Big companies like Google, Walmart and eBay are now offering, or will be offering shortly, same day delivery through a variety of retailers.
The newest company to discuss same day delivery is Walmart. Walmart’s plan is in its infancy, as they’ve initially suggested farming out their own customers, who have made purchases in store, to deliver items to other customers who’ve made purchases online.
It is, as you can imagine, an idea fraught with plenty of possibly negative outcomes, but they’re working on it never the less. In the meantime, you can shop at Walmart the old-fashioned way and get 3 percent cash back on your purchases, too.
eBay has also jumped into the same day delivery ring in select areas. eBay’s same day delivery offers include Walgreens, Best Buy, Macy’s, Target and others. Target, it should be mentioned, is where you can pick up the BitDefender anti-virus software that so many people are talking about.
And then there’s Google, who shuts down a popular RSS reader one day and opens a same day shipping store the next. Those incorrigible buggers offer same day shipping from Target, Toys ‘R’ Us, Walgreens and Staples. Of course whether you’d prefer to get 1 percent cash back shopping at Toys ‘R’ Us directly or you’d prefer the same day shipping offered by Google seems mostly like a matter of preference.
