Holiday travel packages to enjoy the snow
Some people use the winter holidays as an excuse to spend some time in warmer climates. They jettison their heavily layered clothes in favor of liberal amounts of sunscreen. Other people like to dive headfirst into the chilly weather and embrace the reason for the season. If you fall into the latter group but are tired of the same old winter holiday adventures in your town, it might be time to take a trip to a colder climate for some unique winter vacation fun.
Whatever you decide, you’ll need the proper attire. If you live in a cold climate, chances are you already have some good cold weather clothing on hand. But if not, it would do a world of good to check out The North Face. The higher-end retailer specializes in both active and inactive winter wear. If you’re going to be snowboarding on your vacation, The North Face has some very comfortable and stylish jackets and vests that would fit the occasion perfectly.
REI is another good option for winter weather sportswear. Skiers should find their large selection of boots, bags, goggles, bindings and helmets quite to their liking. They also have a large selection of snowboarding and cross-country skiing gear. About the only winter sport they’re missing probably involves an automated snowball thrower.
Now that your gear is secure, where will you go? You could always try American Airlines Vacations to find a flight and hotel package to a place like Colorado or Utah. There are multiple locations in either state that would fulfill your skiing and snowboarding Jones.
But it might be worth checking out an honest to goodness winter resort, too. Something like Winter Park Resort in Colorado would make for a very memorable way to spend a winter holiday. With tubing, ice-skating, snowboarding, skiing and snowcat tours, there is an awful lot to check out on the mountain.
And then there’s the classic winter holiday get-away via VacationRentals. There you can rent out a home anywhere in the United States, which really puts the trip in your hands. Whether you’re looking for a highly trafficked snowy area or an “old log cabin in the woods” type situation, there’s something that should fit the bill.
