Apples are being picked, pumpkins are being carved, and the mini-ghostly-ghouls will be coming out to haunt the neighborhood soon enough, but Halloween festivities don’t have to end for us adults. You don’t have to spend a scary amount to have a memorable Halloween Party this year. With our tips and tricks (or treats) you’ll be sure to be throw a spooky soirée your friends won’t forget!
Think about repurposing some special items you probably already have around the house! Tapered Candles will give any party some flare. Just add some tall candlesticks, or a caldenabra, like this one Walmart to bring light to an area, but also set the tone of the room. Add a little extra touch by dripping red candle wax over white candles to up the scare-factor.
Mason jars and empty wine bottles are both great decor options for a party. You can decorate these mason jars like mummies with some gauze and googly eyes, similar to these using this tutorial from Jenna at Wife in Progress.
Another option is to repurpose wine bottles. These burgandy style bottles from Amazon will offer an opportunity to create your own “apothecary” for your guests. Pour liquids (adult or not!) into them for serving, paste on some printable labels, like these from Lia Griffith, and you’ll be serving up the best potions in the neighborhood.
Details go a long way when it comes to ghoulish gatherings. Put fake spiders into ice cube trays so guests will find a ghastly suprise. Or, if you’re more Decor and less DIY, try adding a spooky table runner from Kirkland’s or hang pumpkin lanterns, like these from Oriental Trading to add a bit of color and pop to your party!
