Keds, Taylor Swift team up for new shoe collection
By Brittany Anas
Ever wonder what it would be like to walk a mile in country star Taylor Swift’s shoes? Now you can — and Keds will even throw in an antique guitar pick charm on the laces of some styles.
Classic shoe brand Keds and T-Swift have teamed up to create a girly shoe collection that is ridiculously cute — we’re talking paw prints, polka dots and eyelet lace cute.
In street-style photos, Swift proves colorful Keds, perfect for running errands on the weekend or for when you need to give your feet a much-needed break from high heels, can look just as good with a fit-and-flare sundress as they do with cropped jeans and nautical-striped T-shirt.
We’d also pair them with some no-show ankle socks and a dress for an outfit that is equal parts feminine and comfortable. And, don’t be afraid to mix patterns. Feminine floral prints are a sweet juxtaposition to an otherwise sporty outfit.
The new collection includes 12 designs, incorporating Swift’s favorite things — for example, chevron stripes made with mini guitars, sunglasses, polka dots mixed with paw prints and heart patterns. The shoes come in red, aqua, pink, yellow and navy. Each shoe has a charm hooked on the laces — either a silver heart with Tay’s favorite number, 13, or a guitar pick in antiquated brass.
“Taylor’s style is effortless and always perfectly pulled together,” Rick Blackshaw, president of Keds, states in a news release. “It is our goal to continuously delight and surprise girls with new sneakers that help them express their personal style.”
Now, her signature style is on sale at Keds, Nordstrom and Journeys. (Click here to view the full Taylor Swift for Keds collection). All styles are $50.
