Lesley loves: NYC New York Color 16-hour Lip Stain
I’m always looking for ways to save time in the morning. On my list: Get the kids to pick out their clothes the night before. Convince same kids hot lunch will be delicious, eliminating need to pack food. Apply lipstick once and forget about it for the rest of the day.
So, I’m batting about .500 on the clothes, and they’re totally not buying the yummy school food thing, but, the lipstick? Nailed it.
When long-lasting lipsticks first hit the market years ago, sure, they stayed on (in fact, it took serious scrubbing to get them off), but they also made my lips so dry, I couldn’t stand it. But, in the name of streamlining my morning rush, I decided to give NYC New York Color’s 16-hour Lip Stain a go.
The applicator resembles a marker — you pretty much draw it on. I tried Smooch Proof, a sheer-ish pink/red shade you can make darker with more layers, and Never Ending Nude, a nice and classic pinkish-brown neutral. Both went on light, didn’t dry me out and, even after multiple cups of coffee and more than a few cans of Diet Coke, there was still color on my lips. Oh, and did I mention the price? Just $4.99.
Now, back to getting my kids to eat hot lunch…
