Coffee Beans and Bobby Pins: A lifestyle blog for the ‘every girl’
Amy Welch is the blogger behind Coffee Beans and Bobby Pins. Her blog celebrates the “every girl” and affordable style. She covers fashion, home decor and her adorable Yorkie, Bella. Meet Amy …
Where I’m based: Durham, N.C.
How long I’ve been blogging: One year and two months
Blog/business basics: Coffee Beans and Bobby Pins was created to give the “every girl” a chance to see that a practical wardrobe can not only be stylish, but affordable. More than just affordable style, Coffee Beans and Bobby Pins celebrates life’s little pleasures including home decor, life as a newlywed, recipes and beauty. You can find me wandering around my place of residence with my hubs and 8-pound Yorkie mix, always searching for inspiration and fabulousness.
What do you enjoy most about blogging? I enjoy having a creative outlet. It makes me take fashion risks and utilize more of my closet items than I typically would. I think women become too comfortable with one item, and then we forget we always have lots of options. I also have met some great gals from blogging. It’s such a blessing!
Other blogs I love: Carrie Bradshaw Lied, Kendi Everyday, The Sweetest Thing, Cupcakes and Cashmere and Damsel in Dior
Guilty pleasure: Wine, oatmeal cookies and shopping — lots of shopping.
Last thing I bought: A leather peplum/cotton contrast shirt from Ann Taylor.
How is newlywed life? Busy! My husband is a resident, so I don’t think we’ve had the typical “newlywed life”, but it’s still ours. I thank my lucky stars that handsome fellow asked me to marry him, we have loads of fun together.
What is one online boutique you’ve found through blogging that is an absolute gem? L.MAE Boutique is one of my favorites, I have worked with them in the past and they are fabulous. Bliss on Main is also fabulous! I have found so many though, it’s hard to just pick one.
What is one thing in your closet that you will never get rid of? My Prada coat (or at least until it’s too small) and my black boyfriend blazer. It’s just from Target, but such a classic piece.
Where do you find inspiration for your home? Pinterest, other bloggers, Pottery Barn magazines and my husband’s opinions. I try to find things he also likes since I share the home with him.
