What inspired you to start your own business? It was actually kind of started by accident! I love making things by hand and sharing my creations on my blog. My readers encouraged me to start selling them, so I did! It all took off from there.
How do you balance blogging, creating things for you store, being a mom and life in general? I don’t! I definitely try, but I have given up on ever reaching the balanced point. I try my best to separate my time, and work when my kids are asleep or at school. I love my job and being creative, so I feel like I’m getting “me time” when I’m working. My husband is very supportive of me, so he shares in many of the household duties. I also have learned over the years that I can’t do it all myself, and that getting help can be a very good thing!
What craft projects do you have on your plate right now? I am designing a couple new products for the shop, and have a laundry room makeover up my sleeve. I’m also about to start on new bedding for my girls’ room. So, not much.
Any big summer plans? We’ve already done most of our traveling, so now my plans consist of staying home and getting creative projects done, heading to the beach and sleeping in!
