Girly Wedding inspiration with Christine
Any bride to be (or wedding-obsessed person) knows the value of inspiration. When we came across Christine’s Girly Wedding blog, we just about died and went to heaven. From her gorgeous photos of real nuptials to the most current wedding shoe trends, this woman knows a thing or two about weddings, and we couldn’t be more excited to share it with you. Meet Christine…
Where I’m based: Seattle
How long I’ve been blogging: For myself, about two years with Girly Wedding. For others, about eight years.
Blog basics: I started my blog right before I got engaged. The idea was to share my wedding planning experience. My fiancé, now my husband, calls me “girly,” hence the name. It helps that I’m a girly girl, too. I love to blog about wedding trends and fun ideas that people can incorporate into their own special day.
Other blogs I love: I love weddinggawker, Style Me Pretty, Green Wedding Shoes and Brooklyn Bride.
Where do you find inspiration for your blog? You know how it is: One person gets married in a group, everyone gets married in a group. So I often include things my friends did for their weddings. I also read a ton of wedding blogs.
My guilty pleasure: Dark chocolate. If I could, I’d eat it for breakfast, lunch and supper.
Last thing I bought: For myself: a J.Crew cardigan. Love those. But who are we kidding? I just had a baby and I really only shop for her anymore. So, really, it was a baby book from Amazon.
What is the most girly thing you own? I guess it depends on your definition of girly. For me, something girly is anything that makes me smile — like my vintage tea cups.
What are your favorite current wedding trends? There are so many. But I love all the picture props couples are incorporating in their wedding pictures.
What advice would you give to a couple planning their big day? Make the wedding about each other and don’t worry about pleasing everyone. Enjoy your day and the love that brought you here.
What do you like most about being a wedding blogger? I love it when someone emails me and asks me to cover a topic, sends me wedding pics of their own or lets me know how much they liked a certain post or what I’m doing. It is incredibly rewarding.
