Nick Lachey on ‘The Sing-Off,’ fatherhood and lullabies
With the fourth season of The Sing-Off set to premiere on Dec. 9, a new album and a 1-year-old son, Nick Lachey is a busy guy.
He tells Celebrity Baby Scoop he’s excited for the a cappella competition TV show to return.
“It’s such a fun show, especially around the holidays,” Lachey tells the website. “It is an awesome show to be a part of, because I am such big fan of a cappella music myself and I know there are so many others out there who love a cappella music.”
He says he’s getting good feedback on his new album, A Father’s Lullaby, as well, especially by his boy, Camden.
“I made the CD as a tribute to him and it’s been a special project that him and I share together,” Lachey tells Celebrity Baby Scoopp. “He liked it, which is the most important thing. It’s also been really well received by my fans who grew up with me and are now at the age where they’re starting to have families of their own.”
Lachey tells the website the new album is his “contribution to helping babies fall asleep.”
“On my album, there are classic lullabies that people will recognize, which have been sung for generations and generations,” he tells Celebrity Baby Scoop. “There are also new, original lullabies that I wrote for Camden.”
Being a dad has been life-changing, Lachey tells the website.
“Your child really becomes the most important thing in your world and in your life,” he tells Celebrity Baby Scoop. “Honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. Every time I am away I am dying to get home. It’s the one thing that motivates and drives everything else in your life. It’s amazing to watch your child learn, as something new happens every day and your child evolves and changes. It’s hard to put into words how much fatherhood really affects everything.”
