Pint-sized patriots! Fourth of July fashion for your kids
By Brittany Anas
Red, white and cute!
As the Fourth of July approaches, there are so many great apparel deals to get your lil’ pint-sized patriot dolled (or duded) up for the holiday. Whether you’re headed to a neighborhood barbecue, parade or your city’s fireworks show, we’ve found some adorable summer clothes that will cause your little one’s cuteness to steal the show from the fireworks. Because, let’s be honest, few things are cuter than a star-spangled baby.
For little boys:
Swim trunks: These navy, turquoise and red color-blocked swim shorts are so perfect for summer. They’re quick drying, too, to take your little guy comfortably from the pool to the picnic table. (Belk, on sale for $16.80)
Stars & plaid patchwork shorts: These Americana shorts are classic with their patriotic plaid and stars. Pop over a polo with them and you’ve got a picture perfect All-American boy. (Gymboree, on sale for $10.99)
Flag striped polo: We’re going ga-ga for this little red-and-white Where’s Waldo type of polo shirt that turns patriotic with the navy blue collar. (Gymboree, on sale for $9.99)
Anchor-applique T-shirt: A preppy and nautical red and blue T-shirt is perfect for the summer with its anchor and crab decals. (Bonus, the red T-shirt will hide drips of watermelon). (Old Navy, $10.94)
For little girls:
Bonnie baby poplin seersucker dress: We can’t get enough of these lil’ American sweetheart dresses. This dress is another great Fourth of July option, complete with a star-printed bodice, a ruffled trim and polka dotted stripes. (Macy’s, $24.99)
OshKosh B’gosh Star Tiered denim jumper: Tomboyish overalls on the top, girly and white lace on the bottom. We love the blend in this outfit that merges overalls with a three-tiered skirt. We also like this overall-red bandanna combo. (Kohl’s, on sale for $20.40)
