Where I’m based: Clermont, Fla., but I’m originally from Buffalo, NY. I’ve been living in Florida for the past 10 years, and loving every minute of it.
How long I’ve been blogging: My blog just turned one in March.
Blog basics: Saving money, family, reviews, giveaways, pets, autos, technology, etc.
Other blogs I love: I love many blogs, but my go-to blog for info has always been Southern Savers — even before I started blogging.
Guilty pleasure: Chocolate. Need I say more?
Last thing I bought: A new Chevy Cruze to travel 5,500 miles this summer to four blogging conferences; 38 miles per gallon in the Cruze sure beats 11 miles per gallon in the Camaro.
How did you become plum crazy about coupons? I have always been known as “Plum Crazy” since I had my purple Ford Explorer.
What’s the biggest challenge you run into when trying to save money? My biggest challenge is when the stores give me a hard time about taking my coupons.
What is the best deal you have ever gotten? My best deal is when Publix had the buy a $50 gas card for $40 with $50 worth of groceries deal. I bought two gas cards and $100 worth of groceries — worth $200 for $90 total. Awesome!
What’s your favorite place to shop? My favorite place is Publix. I love it — especially when they have BOGO sales.
Do you ever splurge? I did this past week because my son, his wife and my granddaughter were visiting for the first time in three years. We went to Disney and at no other time would I spend $22 for two ice cream sundaes at Ghiradelli. I won’t even go out to eat without a coupon.
What do you do when you’re not couponing? We like to go to car shows or just hang out by the pool.
