Save on the new Elie Tahari collection at Kohl’s
High-end fashion designer Elie Tahari has a special connection with New York City. Tahari showed up in the Big Apple in 1971 with less than $100 to his name, but big design dreams.
Now, the Big Apple is the muse for Tahari’s latest collection, designed exclusively for Kohl’s through the DesigNation collaboration. Designers have spun the globe, drawing inspiration from cities and landscapes to inspire their collections for Kohl’s. (Catherine Malandrino channeled creativity from Paris, Derek Lam’s collection was influenced by Rio De Janeiro and Peter Som soaked up inspiration from St. Barth’s for a breezy collection). Kohl’s has also announced that the next collab-o will be with Milly, a collection set to debt in spring 2015 and one that is promised to be influenced by Capri, Italy.
Kohl’s describes it’s latest collection with Tahari as being cool and chic, just like New York City—the place where Tahari has called home for the past 40-some years.
“I am thrilled to partner with Kohl’s to create an accessible collection that draws influence from the city that inspires the rest of the world—New York City,” says Tahari in a news release.
And while the fashion “it” girls of NYC are known to be drawn to all black, you’ll find sophisticated color combos of ivory and blue along with chic black in Tahari’s collection.
The capsule collection ranges in price from $40 to $175 and includes dresses, sweaters, knit tops and bottoms. Be on the lookout for flattering cuts and unexpected details.
