By Brittany Anas
Want to get paid a cool $1 million to go shopping? Old Navy announced it will give away $1 million to one lucky shopper this year on Black Friday, which falls on Nov. 29.
Here’s how to qualify for the Black Friday jackpot: The first 500 shoppers at every Old Navy store in North America when the doors open will be given a chance to win the $1 million jackpot in the “Overnight Millionaire” sweepstakes.
But even if you don’t become a millionaire, you’ll still win some great deals: Old Navy’s biggest sale of the year falls on Black Friday.
“The ‘Overnight Millionaire’ promotion, coupled with our best sale of the year, is a uniquely Old Navy way to surprise our fans as they begin the holiday shopping season,” says Stefan Larsson, Old Navy Global President, in a news release.
Details are coming soon about Old Navy’s Black Friday sales.
Old Navy stores will open at 7 a.m. on Nov. 29. However, stores in shopping malls will open the same time as the malls they are housed in.
Can’t wait until Black Friday? We’re spotting some winter wardrobe pieces at Old Navy, and there’s a site-wide sale happening right now. You’ll get 30 percent off your purchase. Cardholders get 35 percent off. And, you’ll save even more with 4 percent Cash Back and Old Navy coupons from ShopAtHome.com.
Here are some crazy-good deals you can score now.
- Women’s cropped pea coats, on sale for $29. Teal is one of fall 2013’s favorite colors — and is a pleasant surprise amid autumn’s earthy tones.
- Women’s velvet shift dress, $30. This dress is ready to party from now until New Year’s. And on Valentine’s Day, too.
- Men’s wool-blend baseball jacket, on sale for $49. Varsity, baseball, bomber jackets — whatever you prefer to call them, jackets inspired by the school yard are majorly “in” this year. They’ve graduated and have more subdued colors than the ones that you were wearing back in your high school days.
- Classic crew T-shirts for men, $9 a pop. Whether you wear them alone or layer them with button-ups, stock up on these bad boys while they’re under $10 a piece.
