Jenny Martin of Southern Savers is a frugal-living expert. Her website not only offers incredible deals, but she teaches a relaxed approach to saving. She understands moms don’t always have the time to clip every single coupon, but any effort we can make to save money is a step in the right direction. Meet Jenny …
Where I’m based: Columbia, S.C.
How long I’ve been blogging: I started Southern Savers in 2008, so I have been blogging for five years.
Blog basics: My blog, Southern Savers, is all about saving money. I cover the weekly ad deals for many grocery stores in the Southeast, as well as some national stores. My goal is to make saving money easy and fun. In additional to the weekly ads, I also cover retail deals, frugal living, printable coupons and more.
Other blogs I love: I am a huge Pinterest fan. I love to see all of the creative ideas that other bloggers post, as well as share my own adventures in frugal living and decor.
Guilty pleasure: Chocolate. I love chocolate!
Last thing I bought: Gluten free cake mix.
Favorite stores: I am a Loft girl. It is my favorite place to shop for clothing.
What’s the best deal you have ever scored? I got a free 20 roll of toilet paper just by catching a pricing error at check-out.
How do you get creative with your budget shopping? My husband is gluten free so that limits what groceries we buy. We try to make fun, healthy meals based on what is on sale that week. We are also always open to trying new things.
What is one thing you splurge on? I love Vitamuffins! Being a couponer, I try to stock-up when they are on sale, but will buy some at full price if we run out.
