5 spring dress trends under $100
Put away those tights and scarves. Spring is here, and that means all of the adorable, flirty spring dresses are coming out. We are so excited for these seasonal visitors that we’ve pulled together our four favorite spring dresses and skirts trends under $100.
1. Bare those shoulders:
Off-the-shoulder and shoulder cut-outs are back big this spring. Bring that trend into your spring dresses with a dress like the City Studios Floral Print Cold Shoulder Dress at Macys.com. This dress also pulls in two other trends: mixed patterns (floral and polka dot) and crochet accents. It has a jumper-esque look to it, too, which adds an irresistible playfulness. City Studios Floral Print Cold Shoulder Dress, $34.99 (plus Cash Back), Macys.com
2. Maxi dresses:
Full-length dresses are huge for spring. And while solid-print and floral-print are a given, look for some unique expressions, like this Chaps dress with bold lines that almost give it a kimono feel — without the layers. Paisley plus floral print (mixed patterns) is oh so spring, and jersey is always comfortable and lightweight as the weather warms up. Chaps Paisley Maxi Dress, on sale for $82.50 (plus Cash Back), Kohls.com
3. Lattice and cut-outs:
Cut-outs, lattice and mesh are a new, modern, bold spin on lace and crochet. Look for skirts and minis with cut-out accents, or go full force with this white lattice pencil skirt exclusively from Bloomingdales.com. The tiered under slip shows a little extra leg, but this skirt does not sacrifice classy for sexy.
You won’t find anything quite like this anywhere else. Needless to say, we are obsessed. Floral Lattice Lace Pencil Skirt, $98 (plus Cash Back), Bloomingdales.com
4. Shift dresses:
Spring can look simple and pulled-together. Shift dresses are a great spring trend that look a little more sophisticated (and they’re totally comfortable because they don’t have a waist). Wear them with a blazer to work, or a flowy cardigan to dinner. On sunny, casual days, enjoy the warmth sleeve-free with a many-layered necklace and some ankle booties.
We love floral-print shifts, because the flowers add a little more movement and interest to an otherwise simple style. Worthington Sleeveless Print Shift Dress, on sale for $34.99 (plus Cash Back), JCPenney.com
