TV show ‘Revenge’ inspiring a line of clothes
Merry early Christmas, fans of Revenge. The hit ABC show filled with socialite drama and backstabbing, Hampton’s beach scenes and lust-worth preppy styles is getting its own fashion line just in time for the 2013 holiday season.
Women Wear Daily reports that Jill Ohanneson, the show’s designer, and ABC are teaming up with the network’s licensing agency — Firefly Brand Management — to launch the line of apparel and accessories.
We’re looking forward to the new clothing line just as anxiously as we’re awaiting the return of Revenge for its third season.
The leading ladies on the show have varying fashion tastes. While we await the fashion line, here’s how to steal their looks. Safely. Afterall, you certainly don’t want to end up on their bad list.
If you’ve never met a Breton stripe you didn’t love … you’re an Emily Thorne. Her style is classic and sophisticated. She plays it conservative with her color palettes — neutrals, blacks and whites, reds and blues. Her style is all about a simple elegance. She’s literally the “girl next door” in the beach-front cottage next to the Grayson’s, the conniving mega-millionaire family. Emily keeps her look sexy and fresh by playing with different dress cuts and necklines and the occasional body-skimming dress.
Your go-to stores: J. Crew, White House, Black Market and Banana Republic.
If you would say, with all seriousness, that your favorite color is “floral” … you’re a Charlotte Grayson. When she’s not wearing her preppy school-girl uniform, she’s all out girly and glam. Her closet is packed with lace, frills, ornate embroidering and has more shades of pink than one of those mega Sephora lipgloss palettes. Of course, we spot her in a lot of floral prints. Oh, and anybody else want in on her eye make-up secrets?
Your go-to stores: Anthropologie, Charlotte Russe and Modcloth.
If you pounce on new trends like a lioness hunting her prey … you’re an Ashley Davenport. She’s super-savvy and ambitious and an employee of the Grayson’s. Maybe it’s her art history degree that nudges her to push her styles to the limits with the latest trends — whether it be orange lipstick, a lil’ neon number, playful prints and color blocking. She’s the master of blending sophisticated styles with pops of color.
Your go-to stores: Forever 21, Topshop and Asos.
If you’re sexy and you know it … you’re a Victoria Grayson. She works bodycon dresses like a boss. She never seems to give her bod’ a break from curve-hugging dresses and would be confused by the notion of “casual Friday.” The scheming matriarch of the Grayson family — no matter what — looks perfectly put together in luxe dresses that usually hit around the knee. Her go-to style trick: Monochroming her outfits.
Your go-to stores: Nordstrom, Dooney & Bourke and Saks Fifth Avenue.
