Target announces Thanksgiving hours and early Black Friday deals online

Target is the latest among the retail giants to announce its Black Friday actually will begin on Thanksgiving night.
The company said Monday it will open at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving with “earlier-than-ever access to Black Friday doorbuster deals” and stay open until 11 p.m. on Black Friday.
Included in those doorbuster deals are Beats by Dre Solo HD Headphones for $119 (regularly $179.99) and a Nikon L320 16.1MP Digital Camera for $99 (original price $229.99).
You also can purchase a 16 GB iPad Mini Wi-Fi for $299 and receive a $75 Target gift card or a 16 GB iPad Air Wi-Fi for $479 to receive a $100 Target gift card.
Select DVDs will be on sale for $4 to $6 and you can jump-start your holiday decorating with a 6-foot pre-lit artificial Christmas tree for $30 instead of the usual $67.
Almost all of the in-store doorbusters also will be available online at Target.com in the early morning hours on Thanksgiving, with free shipping included on all REDcard purchases, the company added.
“For both our guests and team members, Black Friday is an exciting event that officially marks the beginning of the holiday shopping season. By offering advance access to deals at Target.com and opening our stores earlier, we are making it easier for guests to build a Black Friday ritual that works for them,” Kathee Tesija, executive vice president, Merchandising and Supply Chain said in Monday’s release.
“No matter where or when they choose to shop at Target, guests will be able to kick off their holiday shopping with deep discounts on a wide variety of the season’s most popular items.”
And, if you’re inclined to shop online, but not while you are baking pumpkin pies and stuffing, Target’s deals aren’t just reserved for that Thanksgiving/Black Friday window. The company also announced Monday a plan to offer 15 online-only deals at Target.com for two weeks beginning on Sunday, Nov. 24.
But, if you’re actually a procrastinator, Target shared its Christmas Eve hours on Monday as well. Stores will be open from 7 a.m. on Dec. 24 and close at either 9 or 10 p.m., depending on location.
