Rebecca Lately: Thrifting at it’s best
Rebecca is a wife, mother, blogger, yarn-dyer and clothes lover. She runs Rebecca Lately, where she writes about all things thrifty and shares her stylish, budget-friendly outfits. And we know that whenever we come across someone that uses budget and style in the same sentence, we are in for a treat. Meet Rebecca …
Where I’m based: La Grange, N.C.
How long I’ve been blogging: Publicly since October 2011, privately since January 2003
Blog/business basics: My blog features my personal style, with a focus on thrifting. I also write about makeup products I’m loving, and on the weekends I post outfit inspiration boards. I want to be inspiration for women who live on a normal budget, and I love inspiring people to thrift!
What do you enjoy most about blogging? I enjoy meeting new people. There is such a sense of community in the blogging world, and I’ve made quite a few friends through my blog. It’s enriched my life in a way I could have never foreseen.
Other blogs I love: I follow so many blogs. Every week, I find someone new to add to my Bloglovin’ roll. While I do enjoy fashion bloggers, I also follow parenting, lifestyle, sewing, knitting and cooking blogs. I read a little bit of everything.
Guilty pleasure: This is easy. An afternoon to be lazy and do whatever I want. I usually go shopping for a bit, read blogs or watch YouTube videos, and play around with my wardrobe and my makeup.
Last thing I bought: A pair of blue/cream polka dot Merona Skinny Ankle Jeans.
Fav stores: Besides my usual thrift stores, I enjoy shopping at Target, Old Navy, Forever 21, Madewell and Gap.
What’s the best outfit you’ve ever thrifted? My favorite thrifted outfit is actually pretty simple. It’s a leopard print J. Crew button-up shirt, a black Larry Levine bandage skirt and a pair of leopard print/black Kenneth Cole Reaction wedges. Seen here.
What do you sell on your Etsy shop? I sell my hand dyed yarns and spinning fibers. One of my other hobbies is knitting. After a few years of knitting, I became interested in dyeing yarn and decided to sell my yarn and fiber on Etsy!
What beauty product can you not go without? Definitely lip products. Chapstick, lip tint, lip stick or lip gloss. It doesn’t matter, but I have to have something on my lips!
What are you Pinning these days? One of my favorite things to pin is outfit inspiration. I’ve also found a ton of great recipes on Pinterest, too.
