Travel like a star — or with a star — on these celeb cruises
By Aimee Heckel
If you’ve ever dreamed of traveling like a rock star or Hollywood star, there’s a cruise for that.
You might not get your 15 minutes of fame, but you can score 15 minutes — or more — with fame, on one of the many celebrity cruises out there.
Here are six celeb cruises that will have you rubbing elbows with the stars on sea:
1. Attention baseball fans. Sign up for a Baseball Greats Cruise, featuring famous baseball players, like Cubs All-Star Gold Glove catcher Randy Hundley. The cruise features an interactive Q&A session, trivia games, storytelling, baseball clinics, contests and autographs.
2. TMC Classics Cruise. Sail on the Disney Magic ship and watch classic films with the actors who made them. Hear their stories and share your film love with other like-minded travelers.
3. Dancing With The Stars cruise. Not only will you get to dance with the stars, but you get to vacate with them. Learn the steps, meet the stars, ask questions, take photos and watch them dance live and in person. Learn more here.
4. Star Trek cruises. These cruises center around Star Trek themed events, complete with your favorite celebs from the series and movies. Get autographs, watch episodes with the stars and even eat dinner with a celeb. This takes the Trekkie lifestyle to an all new level.
5. The S.S. Coachella. If the Coachella music festival isn’t enough, follow your favorite bands aboard the S.S. Coachella, for live music aboard a cruise ship. Check the lineup and schedule online to buy tickets to see your favorite (floating) band.
Concert cruises are a trend increasing in popularity. The rock band Weezer is planning a rock cruise early next year.
Kid Rock has an annual Chillin’ The Most Cruise.
Music cruises aren’t limited to rock. The Country Music Cruise features a long line-up of big names, from Vince Gill to Patty Loveless. Click here to register to win a free cabin.
6. Antiques Roadshow cruise. Fans of the PBS TV show can meet personalities from the show as you travel down the Mississippi River. Learn about history, antiques, visit auction houses and retailers and meet the faces who are experts of it all.
