By Aimee Heckel
It’s time to set your resolutions and begin to plan the year ahead. If you’re looking to plan your big vacation for 2014, here are some of the exciting travel trends for 2014:
The Travel Market Report recently reported a handful of burgeoning travel trends. On their list:
- Creative tourism, whereby travelers interact heavily with the locals at a destination.
- Luxury travel, the area of expertise for our favorite Spa Travel Gal, Ava Roxanne Stritt.
- Multigenerational travel: More families are planning vacations together, especially around big events. For example, a cruise is often a great experience for travelers, from children to seniors, because of the wide assortment of entertainment options, all in one location. The Royal Caribbean International offers special family cruises, with complimentary kids programs, mini golf, ice skating, theater, gambling, spas and large staterooms to host families of up to 16 people. You can even hire “Sitters at Sea” to babysit and play with your kids while you go on a grown-up date.
