Valentine Day apps to make the day sweet
by Melissa Brodsky
Valentines Day is, by far, one of the most romantic holidays of the year. Millions of roses are sent out, billions of cards are bought and pounds of chocolate in heart shaped boxes are given, all in the name of love.
Plan a Night Out:
Take that someone special out for dinner and use Open Table (free on Apple and Android) to check and book reservation availability at local area restaurants. There are also Valentine’s Day specials you can access via the app.
Do you know you want to take your honey out, but aren’t quite sure where? Hopeful Romantic ($.99 on iTunes) helps you decide by using your loved ones personality traits to create the perfect date. It’s also a great app to use when planning an anniversary, birthday or any special occasion.
If it’s a first date, Valentine Scanner (free on Android) is a fun way to see if the two of you are compatible. You both place your finger on the sensory pad scanner and it will determine your compatibility. Don’t take it too seriously though. It’s all in fun.
Send a Gift:
Sending flowers is made much simpler with 1-800-FLOWERS Mobile Gift Center (free on Apple and Android). Search for a nearby location and arrange for pickup or delivery on the date and time specified.
Red Stamp is a beautiful app that allows you to design and personalize ecards or, with a nominal cost, you can send a card via snail mail.
