Fun ways to wear Old Navy’s new Mickey and Minnie Mouse T-shirts
M-I-C-K-E-Y, M-O-U-S-E. Mickey Mouse!
Oh, pardon us. Ever since Old Navy announced this week that they’ve teamed up with Disney for a fun-loving, vintage-style Mickey Mouse collection, we’ve been singing the Mickey Mouse March.
The “Mickey Through the Decades” collection includes Mickey (and Minnie, Pluto and Donald Duck, too!) on T-shirts and tank tops. The collection explores how Mickey and his buddies have evolved throughout the decades.
Jodi Rosenblatt, director of sales for Disney Consumer Products, says: “By combining Disney storytelling with Old Navy’s relaxed, playful styles we’ve achieved a product line that truly celebrates our classic characters.”
Items from the “Mickey Through the Decades” collection start at $12.94. You can also get some digital freebies and enter a free contest for a chance to win a custom Disney tour worth $10,000.
(If you’re liking the collection, make sure to get 3 percent Cash Back on your Old Navy purchases through ShopAtHome.com)
Here’s how we want to wear the Disney T-shirts:
Front tucked with a polka dot skirt: For a cute (and literal) oh-so-Minnie look, we like the idea of pairing this sketched Minnie Mouse vintage T-shirt with a black and white polka dot skirt, like this Top Shop skater skirt from Nordstrom. To break up the black and white ensemble, pop in some colorful accessories — like a cobalt blue clutch from BlueFly or a red hair bow from Etsy.
Underneath a blazer: For a relaxed Friday at the office look or to add a little polish to your T-shirt, wear it under a chic blazer with some jeans and black pumps. Like color? We’re swooning over this open front red blazer from Forever 21. If you want to play with patterns, check out this colorful global-inspired blazer from Asos. For a more classic look, dress Mickey up with a black blazer (inspiration: this linen one, also from Asos) and some siren red lipstick.
To Disney! Because, really, what goes better with a Mickey Mouse T-shirt than an authentic pair of mouse ears! Check out ShopAtHome.com’s coupons to Disneyland and Disneyworld. Save even more with flight coupons and cash-back offers and hotel discounts.
